Slants are a hybrid style. They are taller and more visible than flat grave markers, but they are more compact than a traditional two-piece upright monument. This makes them a perfect middle-ground for families wanting visibility at a more affordable price point.

Absolutely. The angled face of a slant headstone is perfect for laser etching portraits or custom scenes, especially on high-contrast granites like Night Black. We can also inset ceramic photos for a full-color tribute.

Adding a matching granite base raises the headstone off the ground, protecting the engraved face from lawnmowers and debris. It also gives the gravestone a more substantial, "upright" appearance.
