Gary Spradling

CEO, Co-Owner, Artist, and our Creative Force

As the CEO, Co-Owner, and artistic mastermind behind Spradling Monuments, Gary Spradling wears many hats. With a bachelor's degree in Business and Marketing, he combines his creative vision with strategic acumen to lead our team to new heights.


Gary's journey in the monument industry began at a young age, working alongside his father and grandfather in the family business. From the tender age of 12, he immersed himself in the craft, learning the trade from the ground up. In 1985, he made the decision to dedicate himself full-time to Spradling Monuments, carrying on the legacy established by his father and grandfather in 1957.


A third-generation monument builder, Gary possesses an unwavering commitment to excellence. His keen eye for detail and uncompromising standards make him an absolute perfectionist in his craft. Yet, he also understands the delicate balance between attaining perfection and recognizing when something is beautiful and "perfect enough."


Beyond his dedication to his work, Gary is a kind and gentle soul. His heart belongs to his wife, Brandi K., their three boys Garrett, Travis & Will James. He takes immense pride in being a devoted husband and father, cherishing the moments spent with his family.


Gary's deep understanding of Jewish customs and traditions sets him apart in serving the needs of our Jewish families. He has nurtured long-standing relationships with local Rabbis, ensuring that every aspect of their memorial needs is met with sensitivity and respect.


In his downtime, you can find Gary indulging in his favorite pastimes. Whether it's sitting on his back porch, watching a college football game, or cruising on his Harley, he finds solace in simple pleasures. He is also a master of the grill, delighting in creating culinary masterpieces and treating loved ones to memorable back porch breakfasts.


With an extensive knowledge of cemeteries within a 100-mile radius, Gary's expertise and familiarity with various locations ensure that every project is handled with precision. From cleaning the shop and mowing the yard to sales and groundbreaking digital advancements, he has propelled the business forward with an unwavering commitment to innovation.


Gary Spradling embodies the spirit of passion, dedication, and excellence that defines Spradling Monuments. With his artistic prowess, business acumen, and heartfelt approach, he continues to shape legacies and create timeless works of art that honor the lives of those we hold dear.


Brandi Spradling

Co-Owner, Director of Operations & Sales, and Driving Force

As the Co-Owner and Director of Operations & Sales at Spradling Monuments, Brandi Spradling brings a wealth of experience and an unwavering dedication to excellence. Her journey to the family business was a unique one, rooted in her compassionate nature and a drive to make a lasting impact.


Brandi's educational path began in London, England, where she embarked on a transformative journey. She later earned her bachelor's degree in Nursing from Texas Christian University. With only five classes remaining to become a Nurse Practitioner, she made a life-changing decision to join the "Family Business" and contribute her skills and passion to the world of monuments.


Having worked as a nurse at the young age of 23, Brandi spent around five years providing compassionate care at the bedside. Her strong work ethic and leadership potential propelled her into executive leadership roles, where she honed her skills in building processes, structures, and cohesive teams. Her relentless pursuit of results and her ability to foster strong relationships with both staff and customers became defining characteristics of her professional approach.


 Distinctly Southern and possessing an incredible drive, Brandi is a force to be reckoned with. She embodies the spirit of determination and resilience, never backing down from a challenge and always striving to deliver exceptional outcomes. When Brandi sets her mind to a task, there is no quit or hesitation in her pursuit of success.


In addition to her passion for the business, Brandi has a beloved companion by her side. Her favorite accessory is her "Lil Pupper," Karoline Krissy, who brings joy and companionship to her daily adventures.


With a blend of Southern charm and relentless determination, Brandi Spradling is a force within the family and the business. Her commitment to her family, friends, and the Spradling Monuments team is unwavering. She possesses a realistic outlook on life, understanding the results that can be expected and produced through hard work and dedication.


 Brandi knows the meaning of love and honor, evident in her dedication to her own family and her passion for helping other families honor their loved ones. She recognizes the importance of creating meaningful tributes without imposing unnecessary financial burdens. Brandi's compassionate approach and determination to deliver exceptional service make her an invaluable asset to Spradling Monuments.


While she may not claim to be a superwoman, Brandi's boundless energy and tenacity prove otherwise. In her relentless pursuit of excellence, she may encounter setbacks and challenges, but her determination remains unyielding. Erika Velazquez

Front Office Manager  *Bilingual - Spanish/English

Erika, the Ruler of All, joined our business in 2021, bringing with her a vibrant energy and a wealth of expertise. Hailing from a Hispanic background, she seamlessly embraces her cultural heritage and communicates fluently in both English and Spanish. Her magnetic personality has won the hearts of not only our team but also our cherished families.


Erika's infectious spirit makes her an absolute delight to work with. With her quick wit and hilarious sense of humor, she never fails to lighten the mood in the office. In fact, she is often referred to as the heartbeat of our workplace. Her professionalism, kindness, and playful nature have become integral ingredients, comparable to a beam of light shining across an ocean at night, enhancing our business in remarkable ways.


When customers inquire about speaking to the owner, we pose a question in response: "Do you wish to speak with the owner, or would you prefer to connect with the lady who runs this place?" Erika's remarkable influence is felt throughout the organization, positioning her as an indispensable figure.


Erika's dedication to our families knows no bounds. She is obsessed with ensuring their needs are met and will not tolerate any obstacles standing in their way. At a moment's notice, she fearlessly jumps into action, be it confronting city managers, cemetery officials, or anyone necessary to obtain what a family requires.


In essence, Erika has become the embodiment of our business. She has assumed the role of our beloved mascot, symbolizing the essence of our values and aspirations. Her presence elevates our organization, and we are truly fortunate to have her as an integral part of our team.


“Pluck” Reginald Andrews

Production Operations & Maintenance Supervisor

Pluck, an esteemed member of Spradling Monuments for over 40 years since 1979, leads our entire production operations with unwavering expertise. Endowed with innate drive and ambition, he requires no external motivation to accomplish tasks efficiently, both at home and at work.


Pluck is the secret behind our recipe for excellence in layout and production. Tough yet remarkably kind, he maintains zero tolerance for whining or laziness while taking immense pride in delivering excellence. His meticulous attention to detail and unmatched craftsmanship make him a true master of his trade, capable of fixing anything.


Outside of work, Pluck's devotion to his children and grandchildren is evident through the countless pictures adorning the walls of our production shed. His mechanical inclination and ability to repair anything further amplify his indispensable role within our team. Passionate about building, racing, and driving race cars, Pluck's enthusiasm extends beyond the confines of our industry. His extensive experience as a Marine Corps Helicopter Crew Chief of the Sikorsky CH-53 Super Stallion provides a unique perspective and expertise to our operations.


Recently, Pluck spearheaded a transformative shift towards modernized production. Through thorough research, meticulous selection, and installation of state-of-the-art equipment, our production capability has surged by an impressive 50%.


Pluck's enduring commitment, unwavering dedication, and forward-thinking leadership have propelled Spradling Monuments to new heights. As an integral part of our team, his impact is immeasurable, and we are privileged to have him as a driving force behind our continued success.


Travis Spradling

Sales/Layout and Logistics Supervisor

Travis is known for his intellect and sharp mind. He exudes qualities of sweetness, kindness, understanding, ambition, and drive, making him a remarkable individual. In addition to his intellectual pursuits, he is also learning the art of sales, expanding his skill set further.


Within our organization, Travis holds the crucial role of being our in-house IT Guy. He ensures that our phone system, internet connection, and monitoring/security cameras are always operating flawlessly. With his expertise, we can rely on a seamless technological infrastructure.


Travis's involvement in the family business began at a young age. Like his older brother, Garrett, and his father, he started contributing when he was just 11 years old. From mowing the yard to setting monuments during the summer, he gained experience and an understanding of the business.


Having joined the business full-time in 2022, Travis has dedicated himself to its growth and success. In 2023, he began pursuing his dream of becoming an anesthesiologist, showcasing his determination to excel in both his education and professional life.


Outside of work and studies, Travis has a flair for the culinary arts. As an amazing chef, he takes pleasure in entertaining his guests with delicious meals. Additionally, he possesses a talent for mechanics, as evidenced by his recent accomplishment of rebuilding a 1931 Model A from a neglected item in a garage to a vehicle he can confidently drive almost every day. In addition, Travis has developed a passion for gardening. He finds joy in tending to plants and nurturing vegetables, embracing the beauty of nature and the rewards of cultivating his own harvest.


Victoria Jophlin

Junior Designer & Admin Analyst  *Bilingual - Spanish/English

Victoria, our Administrative Analyst, brings a high degree of leadership skills to our team. As Laura's daughter, she upholds a strong work ethic and displays exceptional manners and kindness. Victoria's involvement in a multitude of extracurricular activities showcases her commitment to personal growth and community engagement. She holds positions such as Vice President of the Key Club, Captain of the Robotics Team, and participates in Varsity Debate and the Rocket Retreat Club.


Achieving academic excellence, Victoria ranks in the top 10% of her high school class. She actively participates in challenging programs, including Dual Credit coursework and the Gifted and Talented program. Victoria's passion for community service is evident, reflecting her sweet Christian values.


Aside from her professional pursuits, Victoria enjoys baking and building robots as her hobbies. She embraces the opportunity to travel, with an annual trip to Mexico to visit family and friends. Gardening with her mother is a cherished activity, further deepening their bond.


Napoli's Italian is Victoria's favorite restaurant, where she indulges in delectable cuisine. Fluent in both Spanish and English, she seamlessly bridges cultural divides. With her exceptional intellect, organizational skills, and rapid learning ability, Victoria consistently demonstrates her willingness to help others. Recently acquiring a brand new SUV, she takes pride in her accomplishments and continues to excel in all endeavors.


Garrett Spradling

Sales/Production and Installation Technician

Garrett, a fourth-generation monument builder, embodies the family legacy with pride and dedication. At the age of 12, following in his father's footsteps, he began his journey in the business by mowing the yard and setting monuments during summers. In 2016, Garrett made the heartfelt decision to commit to the family business full-time, recognizing his true passion and love for the craft.


While Garrett initially pursued a path in the fire academy, he ultimately realized that his unwavering devotion lies with the "Family Business." Known for his exceptional work ethic, diligence, and sharp intellect, he consistently exceeds expectations. Customers hold a deep admiration for Garrett, drawn to his genuine kindness and gentle demeanor.


Garrett's resourcefulness knows no bounds. He thrives on finding solutions to any challenge that arises, demonstrating his problem-solving skills and determination. Beyond his professional pursuits, Garrett showcases his talents in the culinary realm. A skilled meat smoker and cook, he takes pride in crafting mouth-watering briskets and delights his loved ones with his culinary creations.


As an accomplished carpenter, Garrett follows in the footsteps of his beloved uncles and grandfather, honing his skills and leaving his mark on every project he undertakes. Additionally, he seems to have a touch of luck on his side. Whether it's at the casinos or with scratch-offs, Garrett has earned a reputation as the luckiest person within our circle.


Garrett's commitment to craftsmanship, his warm personality, and his passion for creating memorable experiences make him an invaluable asset to our team and a beloved figure among our customers.


Collin Cole

Installation Technician

Introducing our Install Technician, who joined our team in 2022. When he's not working with us, he serves as a full-time firefighter and paramedic, showcasing his unwavering dedication to public service. 


In addition to his impressive emergency response career, he is also a thriving entrepreneur, owning a successful home lighting, landscaping, and Christmas lighting business. His entrepreneurial spirit and drive for success are evident in everything he does.


As a committed family man, he proudly wears the title of a married man, capturing the hearts of many.  Along with his wife Kamryn, he eagerly anticipates the arrival of a new baby girl in November 2023. With a natural talent for comedy, he brings laughter and lightness to our team, creating a fun and enjoyable work environment.


Known for his quick wit and humor, he humorously claims authority over the "You're Fired Department." If anyone makes a mistake or chips a monument, he playfully delivers the news that they're "Fired."


His exceptional ability to learn quickly left even our experienced team members in awe, catching the attention of our revered veteran, Pluck. When someone can impress Pluck, you know they possess a special talent.


With exceptional construction skills, he is highly proficient in various aspects of the trade. During his leisure time, he enjoys fishing, hunting, playing cornhole, and spending quality moments with his buddies while enjoying a cold beer.


With a strong work ethic and an entrepreneurial spirit, he embodies the essence of a Good Ole Boy. In terms of entertainment, he finds pleasure in watching 90's Cops and considers Tombstone his all-time favorite movie. To showcase his love for the film, he even has a portrait of Doc Holiday tattooed on his chest. Alongside his affinity for Tombstone, he loves country music from icons like Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard, and Gary Stewart.

Our Company History

Since 1957,

our family business has been driven by hard work, dedication, and a passion for craftsmanship. Founded by Billy Spradling and Nona Spradling, the Spradling Monuments legacy began with a vision to create something truly special and enduring. Gary Spradling, along with his brothers Don and Tim, had the privilege of learning from their father and being a part of the business as it grew.


The Spradling brothers, along with Don's wife Dianne, formed a strong bond as they worked together to build the company. They weathered the challenges of entrepreneurship, supported one another, and raised their families alongside the business's success. Dianne played a vital role in the organization for over 37 years, bringing her energy, expertise, and unrivaled Southern kindness.



Reginald "Pluck" Andrews, our production commander, has been an integral part of Spradling Monuments even before the Spradling brothers. Pluck's exceptional attention to detail and unwavering commitment to quality have made him an invaluable asset. His technical skills, leadership, and mentorship have guided the development of Gary's sons, Garrett, Travis, and Will, ensuring the continuation of craftsmanship and excellence.
